MIUI team has been working continuously to get Nougat working on our Mi devices. Finally, MIUI 8 based on Nougat for Mi 5 is now on the table for you to enjoy! What to be expected for MIUI 8 that is based on Android 7.0? Here, we are sending our sincere invitations to all Mi 5 users to experience the whole new "MIUI 8".

Huawei Mate 9 Teardown is Here!

The Huawei Mate 9 flagship has joined the league of devices that got the tear-down treatment soon after launch. The Huawei Mate 9 teardown comes courtesy of the guys at LaptopMain and it reveals the flagship’s internals in its entirety. Quite frankly, the device is shown to come with a mountain load of screws. For a $775 device, it definitely won’t be a good idea to try this out if you’re not  a professional. However, the internals showed the Mate 9 isn’t laced with lots of tiny parts and so may not be a problem fixing if faulty.

Having that in mind, the first Huawei Mate 9 teardown just surfaced online, courtesy of LaptopMain. First and foremost, it is worth mentioning that you’ll need a screwdriver, tweezers, small crowbar-like tool, suction cup and a guitar pick to disassemble Huawei’s new flagship phablet. The whole process starts by removing the SIM card tray, after which you’ll need to remove the two screws on the bottom of the phone, after which you should be able to open the phone using a suction cup. Next step is disconnecting the fingerprint module which is connected to the phone’s back cover, and from that point on you have access to the battery (which is built-in), and the rest of the Huawei Mate 9 internals. The Huawei Mate 9 features a 5.9-inch fullHD (1920 x 1080) IPS LCD display, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of expandable internal storage. The phone is fueled by the HiSilicon Kirin 960 64-bit octa-core processor, and a 4,000mAh battery is included on the inside. There are two cameras available on the back of this phablet, 20-megapixel and 12-megapixel snappers with Leica’s lenses on top of them. Android 7.0 Nougat comes pre-installed on the Huawei Mate 9, and on top of it, you get Huawei’s Emotion UI (EMUI) 5.0 skin. The device measures 156.9 x 78.9 x 7.9mm, while it weighs 190 grams. UMi Plus Android 7.0 Beta released

Some weeks ago, i just read the news that UMi was going to start a beta test program for the Android N release on the UMi Plus. Their goal is to collect the most possible feedbacks and to check if there are some bugs. This way, the dev't team will be able to address issues in the software. Also, they aim to understand what user would like to see in the next big major updae



Now, i just recently read the news that a second beta was is out, here. It addresses the aforementioned bugs and introduces a Pro-photo mode. Just like in the Marshmallow version.



Mind you that the beta ROM is only available for installing via Flashtool. UMi claims that experimenting with the system software of your phone may permanently brick it. This can drive to losing your warranty. Meanwhile, retailers are not obligated to deal in warranty with devices ruined by overwriting the system software by the user.

So, if you don’t have much experience in flashing, we recommend  that you wait until the OTA is out.

OnePlus 3 Discontinued in The US and UK

This year has been a great one for OnePlus. The Chinese company launched it’s third major flagship, the OnePlus 3, which received positive feedback from the tech community at large. Then they ran into supply issues due to shortage of AMOLED displays and had to suspend sales in some countries for a while.

During that period, popular analyst, Pan Jiutang posted on Weibo that folks better wait for a new OnePlus phone which was going to launch with a LCD display. Shortly before the said OnePlus phone got it’s 3C certification, a supply chain source revealed to us that the company was going to stop production of the OnePlus 3 to make way for a newer model which we guessed was going to feature the new snapdragon 821 chip. Some of you didn’t even take the news well.

How to Install:

It’s wise to backup your custom ROM, no matter how confident or experienced you are. So anything happen unpleasant you can retrieve back your old ROM
If you don’t know how to backup ROM Click Here
Then Go to phone’s custom recovery mode. Almost Every phone by pressing power button + Volume up/down button + home button all together you can access your phone recovery options. If you don’t know how to go your specific device’s recovery option, just search on google. Here an example: “recovery mode SM-G7102”
After successfully entering the Custom Recovery Option (CWM/TWRP) first & foremost take a backup up of your current ROM. Select “Backup” 》Select storage 》 backup process may take 5/7 minutes.
Than Wipe Data》Wipe Cache Partition,Wipe dalvic cache (You shall find it in Advanced option).
After formatting Cache go to Mount and Storage》Format Data, Format System.
Than come back to main menu of CWM/TWRP whichever Custom recovery you’re using.
If you are using Phillips Touch 》 just Go to Wipe Data & select install new custom ROM.
After removing old ROM, rest of the works are just piece of cake. Just install the Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 Custom ROM CM13 (Marshmallow-6.0.1): .zip from SDCARD.
Install GAAP. Then Reboot. First boot may take upto 5-10 min.
