Hello MIUIers! 

In line with the blockbuster Global/China ROM of MIUI they finally release the unstoppable MIUI 8 Based on Android Nougat. 

As per the author in en.miui.com: 

On the 18th of May, the Android 7.0 Nougat was officially announced, by the 22nd of August, the first release of Android 7.0 Nougat had been out. MIUI team has been working continuously to get Nougat working on our Mi devices. Finally, MIUI 8 based on Nougat for Mi 5 is now on the table for you to enjoy! What to be expected for MIUI 8 that is based on Android 7.0? Here, we are sending our sincere invitations to all Mi 5 users to experience the whole new "MIUI 8".

- For better experience. We are still in the process of updating our MIUI Global Forum app to fully support all the features as PC end does, the 'Apply' button cannot been displayed in app for now.
- Don't worry if you're not using Mi 5, we will keep you updated about further updates about MIUI 8 based on Android 7.0 for other Mi devices.
- We will send you forum PM to let you know if you're selected. Please don't forget to check your PM on Nov 21, 2016. 

Who is eligible for this?
- Main and most important thing is, should/must own Mi 5
- Should have interest to test and some knowledge about ROMs
- Must be active in the forum
- Willing to discuss with other members in both QQ alpha group and forum
- QQ is a must, no alternate app

How to apply?
Click the apply button and fill the details of device name, MIUI version and in the comment field explain that why should we choose you? then submit it.

What will you get?
Once you are recruited in the Alpha team, you will get these following benefits:
- Read permission 90
- Access to the MIUI daily updates
- Larger attachment size
- Priority to join in the MIUI official activities or events

What is your responsibility?
- Should send request to join in the QQ Alpha group immediately or as soon as possible
- Flash the regular Alpha updates from Monday to Thursday
- Should discuss with fellow members in the QQ Alpha group
- Answer to the users query/posts in the bugs and beta team subforum
- Report the issue(s)/bug(s) on time
- Vote in the each week poll to recommend or not recommend the particular weekly build for the normal users/public use

Current Special Team members such as Super Moderators/Moderators/Intern Moderators/Resource/App Review/Beta/Device/News/Porting/Fan Site/Designer/GFX/Photography Team members, if you are applying for the alpha tester and got selected, your current user group will not be changed, but you will get Alpha ROM permissions. 

As a reminder: This is Alpha ROM, so please expect bugs with the ROM and think twice before you apply for it. Also, there's not only one device that the developers are working on, so bugs need time to fix, please do not rush the developers or admins or mods.
