A CMS or Content Management System is an application that allows to manage, organize, publish, edit and create a website easily. A CMS application is used for retrieval and storage of information from a huge volume of data, these information may be in the form of word processor documents, spreadsheet, audio and video files and images. 1. WordPress
WordPress is the best user-friendly content management system and it is used by over 25% of Alexa rank’s top million websites. It was developed by Matt Mullenweg and Mile Little on 27 May 2003. Users of WordPress can easily change the functionality and look of their website without interfering their structure or content. They can easily switch and install themes. 2. Joomla!

7. PHP-Fusion
PHP-Fusion is developed by Nick Jones and first version was released in 2003. You can build news, articles, forums, downloads, shoutbox like websites by using PHP-Fusion.
8. PHP-Nuke
PHP-Nuke is developed by Franciso Burzi and was released on 22 May 2009. It has many features like, advertisement integration, pages, downloads, encyclopedia, FAQ, Feedback, forums, journal, news, search and many more.
9. Xpress Engine
Xpress Engine was developed by Shim Hyo-seop, Park Beom-jin, Florin Ercus, Daniel Ionsecu, Ye-sol, Kim Tae-gon and many more on 28 February 2008. For storage, Xpress Engine uses MS-SQL, Sqlite2 and 3, PostgreSQL, MYSQL 4.1 or higher, Firebird and CUBRID databases.
10. RenovatioCMS
RenovatioCMS was released on 18 October 2011. It is written in UBB code, JavaScript, CSS, HTML and PHP.
