J.K. Rowling had a withering Twitter response to a fan who couldn't see how Albus Dumbledore was gay.
Rowling revealed the sexuality of the headmaster of the wizarding school Hogwarts in 2007, to much controversy at the time and some fans are still having difficulty with the revelation.
Twitter user anakocovic21 tweeted at Rowling her confusion of why the author would say Dumbledore was gay as she herself "can't see him in that way." Rowling response was short and dismissive: "Maybe because gay people just look like...people."
The twitter user has now deleted her initial tweet, but Rowling's response has already been retweeted over 6,000 times and met with universal praise.
Dumbledore was portrayed on screen by first Richard Harris and then Michael Gambonafter the former's death. In 2013, Rowling said that Dumbledore is the character she misses most but his death wasn't the one she regretted most.
